Andrea Lam is an acclaimed Australian pianist whose luminous artistry has earned praise around the world.
She made her orchestral debut at just 13 with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and spent twenty years based in New York including performances at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center.
She returned to Australia to deepen her roots in her homeland’s musical life as a Lecturer in Piano at the Melbourne Conservatorium and was the host of ABC TV’s very popular TV series The Piano with Harry Connick Jr.
Winner of multiple international prizes, Andrea is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and Yale University, and is Lecturer in Piano at the University of Melbourne’s Conservatorium of Music
Andrea’s solo album ‘Piano Diary’ (ABC Classics) won the 2025 ARIA award for ‘Best Classical Album’, topping the classical charts for weeks.
