With pianists Tony Gould and Mark Fitzgibbon, this concert explores performances for four hands on one piano and on two pianos.
There is a large repertoire for four hands in the classical world, including transcriptions of symphonies, and other works written specifically for four hands.
Mark has long been regarded as one of the finest jazz pianists this country has produced. He is a descendant of the famous Fitzgibbon family of musicians and has accompanied many of the world's greatest jazz musicians on their tours of Australia.
A prolific performer, composer and recording artist across several musical genres of art music, Tony Gould has performed across the globes with many Australian and international artists, including Clark Terry, Sarah Vaughan, Dave Brubeck, Ronnie Scott, Slava Grigoryan, Mike Nock, and Paul Grabowsky.
Tony has composed works for, and performed with, Melbourne Symphony, Queensland Symphony, Tasmanian Symphony, Monash Symphony, and Orchestra Victoria.
