Four people with hyper-active imaginations operating concurrently, with acute awareness of each other, can potentially create stunning and significant imaginings, with the potential for almost unlimited variations.

This music is a representation of the collective imaginations of four highly skilled musicians, improvisers and composers. Freedom and control in an ever shifting balance, expression and story telling - ever present, understated virtuosity constantly engaging and bewildering

Beauty of tone and touch underpin a delicate mix of classical and jazz, never falling too far in either direction, always maintaining a uniqueness and an intention of musicality.

Listening to this music is completely engrossing and transformative

And is unlike anything you’ve ever heard, yet strangely familiar.

Despite their varied backgrounds in jazz and classical music - the four musicians in this quartet bring a common purpose to their music-making. The idea being, to quote the great American jazz pianist Bill Evans, that music is first and foremost about ‘truth and beauty.’  This is not only to do with the choice of music, but also with the unusual blend of instruments in this group. The repertoire consists of original music, references to classical pieces, and explorations in music from various parts of the world.
