Hiromi Hotel Art Garden

Hiromi Hotel Art Garden invites visitors to engage and reconnect through meditative acts of artmaking, exploration, and the rich layers of sensory engagement that art and gardening provide.

Hiromi Hotel transforms Beleura's kitchen garden with an accumulation of colourful soft sculptural assemblages. This is a participatory art project using tactile, recycled materials and elements of rainbow healing colours inspired by plants and flowers.

Working in collaboration with local artists, students, aged care residents and community members Hiromi Hotel is inspired by neuroscience and Tango’s collaborator Dr Emma Burrows.

Exploring mindful artmaking, through the use of colour, light and texture, Tango gently transforms how we relate to our environment and each other. Dedicated to generating healing conversations through arts engagement, Hiromi Hotel Art Garden is a sanctuary of colour and peace at Beleura.

This project is part of the Front Beach Back Beach sculpture program by the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery. FBBB is part road trip, part curatorial experiment and part exploration of how contemporary art in the public sphere can offer new and unique understandings of people, locale and time.

The fifteen site-specific events will unfold across the Peninsula in November 2022 and will be documented for an exhibition at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery over summer.
